Inflation is not the only trend eating your wealth
It's time to call out these 'prosperity leeches' and end them
You may already be aware of many of the forces which leech at your wealth and prosperity.
There are the ‘Hype Hyperventilaters’ who breathlessly push you to act rashly by playing off of your fear of missing out on the next big thing.
One says it’s a new crypto; another a shiny digital NFT; and countless more cry wolf about a flashy new tech company promising to revolutionize the economy.
Likewise, there are the ‘Security Sirens’ trying to lull and seduce you into surrendering control over your own life.
They say you can’t possibly make good choices on your own. It’s safer with us.
We at FacelessMegaCorp have your back. Are you sure you’re in good hands?
But there is an especially insidious force lurking. And it is one which too easily catches us off guard.
So what is the most deadly force? The biggest bloodsucking leech on your wealth, prosperity, and happiness?
…................................
Overcomplication.
…................................
Are we living in an increasingly complex social world? Likely.
Is the pace of technological change and innovation quickening? Also likely.
Does that mean we can no longer accurately judge the health of an established business?
Absolutely not.
In fact, it has never been easier to access all of the information you need to consistently and accurately judge how well any given established business is performing.
The only things that have changed are our confidence and our willingness to roll up our sleeves and do even the littlest bit of work.
The information deluge and fear-mongering of most mainstream media has us clutched up and fatigued. In reality things are not moving too fast at all.
We just need to simplify things again.
Not oversimplify.
Just find a better balance.
For example:
Do you need…
Titan, Robinhood, Cashapp, ClarityMoney, SoFi, Vanguard, Acorns, Unifimoney, Stash, Bumped, Tornado, WeBull, Public, or M1…
to invest successfully?
‘Of course you do’, they say.
But you know better.
You know that these various platforms and the near-endless stocks and trading options they offer use powerful marketing strategies of split-tested 'Hype Hyperventilators’ and ‘Security Sirens’ to do one thing:
Overcomplicate investing.
Is it working for anyone? Or are we just more stressed and unsettled than ever.
Meanwhile Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger have patiently and steadily amassed tremendous wealth.
All with simple, uncomplicated, principled investing.
Don’t let the prosperity leeches drain away your time, energy, sanity, and prosperity.
Simplify!
Simply yours,
